Situations arise where the taxpayer has a dispute with CCRA over the deduction of certain business expenses. To compound the problem approximately 300 new auditors have been recently hired for the Western provinces to replace a number of senior auditors who will be retiring in the next few years. Technical expertise will continue to be a contentious issue. CCRA has indicated that if the taxpayer has concerns over the auditor "in training", go directly to the auditor's team leader for resolution of the issue. Needless to say, the matter may not be resolved.

Situations Too often the taxpayer is left feeling at the mercy of the auditor. In any dispute it is essential to know the "rules of engagement". The taxpayer has certain rights of which he may not be aware. Also, an understanding of some of the unwritten rules of conduct would be an asset.

We have experience dealing with CCRA disputes. We know the rules of engagement. We know the law.

Terms and conditions:
We charge a fee of $1495 CDN to commence work. Upon settlement of the dispute we charge 25%, less the initial $1495, of the saved taxes.
